Sonny Stitt was always up for a challenge. For Norman's Blues he created a very swinging two-chorus blues head in D-flat concert. The hard-swinging intro is also used to start the Coda. Playing the melody along with Sonny Stitt and this recording—really trying to lock in with his tremendous rhythmic drive—will stimulate any musician. Lots of fun!
Sonny Stitt prided himself on being fluent in any key and at any tempo, and he loved to musically challenge everyone he came in contact with. As you can tell from our audio excerpt, Sonny loved to swing hard.
