Practice versus Performance

Performance edition tracks: Unless there is also a listed practice edition track, all of our Minus You tracks are performance edition tracks. These are ideal to play along with, and they're also perfect to record with and use for auditions, since they're only a few solo choruses long.

Practice edition tracks: These tracks are longer, with much more solo space to experiment with, since all soloists from the original track have been removed. During what was the piano solo, you solo with the bass and drum accompaniment. Or, you might find yourself with only piano and drum accompaniment, during what was originally a bass solo. There's lots of room to experiment, but not ideal for an audition tape.
